In April 2022, Zanzibar’s Minister of Blue Economy and Fisheries, Mr. Suleiman Masoud expressed his satisfaction with the progress of boat manufacturing for seaweed farmers. The initiative, which aims to boost the livelihoods of local farmers, saw 120 boats completed out of the targeted 250.
